MINING GRADE CMC
Introduction:
CMC is an anionic water-soluble polymer based on renewable cellulosic raw material.
In mining operations, WGCEL CMC products are developed specifically for mineral flotation and depressants.
Key Functions:
Viscosity Control: CMC is used as a thickening agent in drilling fluids to maintain the required viscosity, ensuring efficient removal of cuttings from the borehole.
Water Retention: It helps retain moisture in mining applications, preventing excessive water loss in slurries and improving processing efficiency.
Flotation Aid: CMC acts as a depressant in mineral flotation, selectively preventing unwanted gangue minerals (such as clay and silica) from floating, improving ore separation.
Binding Agent: It helps in pelletizing fine ore particles, improving the strength and stability of pellets used in metallurgy.
Dust Suppression: It is used to control dust in mining operations by binding fine particles and reducing airborne dust levels.
Packing and Storage:
Packing: 25kg/50lb kraft paper bag with PE inner. customizable packaging
Storage Conditions:
Temperature: Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C (41°F – 86°F).
Humidity: Keep in an environment with low humidity (<50% RH) to prevent moisture absorption.
Ventilation: Ensure proper air circulation to avoid condensation and clumping.
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Store away from direct heat and UV light to prevent degradation.
