Drilling Grade CMC

DRILLING GRADE CMC

Introduction:

CMC is an anionic water-soluble polymer based on renewable cellulosic raw material.

In oilfield WGCEL AND WGPAC products are developed specifically control fluid loss and provide strong rheological control in the oilfield, which extend the performance of water-based drilling additives.

Key Functions:

Viscosity Control: CMC increases the viscosity of drilling muds, ensuring better suspension of cuttings and preventing their settlement in the wellbore.

Fluid Loss Control: It helps reduce water loss by forming a thin, low-permeability filter cake on the walls of the borehole, preventing excessive fluid invasion into the formation.

Shale Stabilization: CMC helps stabilize shale formations by reducing water penetration, preventing swelling and disintegration of the formation.

Lubrication: It enhances the lubricity of the drilling fluid, reducing friction between the drill string and the borehole, which improves drilling efficiency and reduces wear.

Suspension of Solids: CMC ensures proper suspension of weighting agents (such as barite) and cuttings, improving mud rheology and hole cleaning.

Temperature and Salinity Resistance: Special grades of CMC are used in high-temperature and high-salinity environments to maintain mud performance in challenging drilling conditions.

Packing and Storage:

Packing: 25kg/50lb kraft paper bag with PE inner. customizable packaging

Storage Conditions:

Temperature: Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C (41°F – 86°F).

Humidity: Keep in an environment with low humidity (<50% RH) to prevent moisture absorption.

Ventilation: Ensure proper air circulation to avoid condensation and clumping.
