Paper Making CMC

CMC for Paper Making

Introduction:

CMC is an anionic water-soluble polymer based on renewable cellulosic raw material.

Our WGCEL CMC is an effective papermaking additive and can be used in many procedures such as pigment coating, adding in the pulp and surface sizing, with good water-retaining property, dispersibility and shear thinning. – Carboxymethyl Cellulose CMC has favorable rheological and film-forming properties.

Key Functions:

Surface Sizing Agent

Enhances surface strength, reducing dusting and linting.

Improves printability by providing a smoother surface for ink absorption.

Retention & Drainage Aid

Helps retain fine fibers and fillers during paper formation, improving paper quality.

Enhances water drainage, making the paper making process more efficient.

Strength Enhancement

Increases dry strength and wet strength, improving the paper's durability.

Prevents cracking and brittleness in paper sheets.

Coating Binder

Used in paper coatings to improve pigment adhesion, gloss, and smoothness.

Enhances ink holdout and prevents ink from spreading, leading to sharper prints.

Thickening & Stabilizing Agent

Regulates the viscosity of paper coatings and adhesive formulations.

Prevents settling of pigments and fillers, ensuring uniformity.

Water Retention & Moisture Control

Helps retain water in paper coatings, preventing premature drying and ensuring smooth application.

Reduces curling and warping by balancing moisture distribution.

Eco-Friendly & Sustainable

As a biodegradable and non-toxic additive, CMC supports eco-friendly paper production.
