Introduction:
Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) is an anionic water-soluble polymer based on renewable cellulosic raw material. Our WGCEL CMC widely used in personal care applications.
Key Functions:
Thickening Agent– Enhances viscosity in aqueous systems.
Stabilizer & Suspending Agent – Prevents separation of emulsions and keeps solid particles suspended.
Film-Forming Agent – Provides a smooth, protective layer on skin or hair.
Moisture Retention – Helps retain hydration in skin and hair care products.
Conditioning Effect – Improves texture and feel on application.
Advantages:
Non-toxic and skin-friendly
Derived from renewable cellulose (plant-based)
Biodegradable and eco-conscious
Stable over a wide pH and temperature range
Compatible with a broad range of surfactants, actives, and additives
